While the winter weather has been slow to arrive this year, we are finally seeing our landscape shrouded in crisp, cold, white snow.
With that in mind, the time to think about our animal companions is now. While beautiful, our winter white can be dangerous for our pets.
The American Veterinary Medical Association states, “Just like people, pets’ cold tolerance can vary from pet to pet based on their coat, body fat, activity level and health. Be aware of your pet’s tolerance for cold weather, and adjust accordingly.”
