Until Oct. 31, the Open Hand Fund is matching every dollar donated, up to $10,000, for the Archuleta County Fund.
The Community Foundation’s Archuleta County Fund is a quasi-endowed fund that grants annually each fall to a nonprofit in the Pagosa area. The grantee is chosen by a committee of locals who focus on the tangible impact those dollars will have on a nonprofit and the community.
The Foundation’s Open Hand Fund is offering this matching donation opportunity to increase support for local organizations.
“Our anonymous donor wishes to encourage others in the community to make a contribution to help provide more grants in the future,” said Tracy Pope, deputy director of the Community Foundation. “By matching every dollar up to $10,000, they hope to inspire others to join in and make a meaningful difference for nonprofits in Archuleta County.”
