Give the gift that keeps on giving.
Perhaps you have heard that, referring to a gift that someone can enjoy for a long time with lasting benefits.
There really are such gifts, like a contribution to a grandchild’s college fund, membership to a health club or a lesson that leads to a lifelong hobby.
Did you ever think of a donation of blood as being a gift that keeps on giving?
Every two seconds someone needs a transfusion because of a traumatic injury, hemorrhaging after surgery or an ongoing medical condition.
Those folks will receive it only if someone else understood the need and made the choice to donate blood in their community.
That blood donation can lead to survival, healing and more time with loved ones.
Please add a relatively short commitment to your busy calendar for our next blood drive at Centerpoint Church, 2750 Cornerstone Drive, on Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
You may make an appointment at Vitalant.org, by calling Vitalant at (877) 258-4825, or reaching volunteer Sharee Grazda by call or text at (970) 946-2760.
