It’s time to put on your Ruby slippers in honor of the Ruby M. Sisson Memorial Library Foundation’s Library Affair, a gala fundraising event April 9 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Pagosa Lakes Property Owners Association clubhouse.

The evening offers a unique bidding opportunity for 17 beautiful and creative table settings for up to eight people. The table designs will be based on themes from books ranging from children’s to adult literature. The winning bidders will take home the complete content of the tables, including china, stemware, silverware, napkins, tablecloths, centerpieces and book.

“Each table is being designed by teams of one to three people, specially chosen for their incredible artistic and creative skills,” said chairperson Lynne McCrudden. “The tables will carry out the theme of a selected book of their choosing. Some tables will be whimsical, others elegant, but all will be something wonderful to take home and enjoy.”

In addition, beginning March 15, for a donation of $1 per vote, you will be able to vote online for your favorite table. The table that receives the most votes by April 8 will receive the prestigious Pagosa Pulitzer Prize, with permanent recognition displayed at the library. Tickets and voting will be available at pagosalibrary.org/library-foundation/campaign or at the library (cash or check only) beginning March 15.

Come and enjoy a fun evening with friends and supporters of our wonderful library and be prepared to bid on some truly amazing table creations.
