According to the National Weather Service (NWS), moderate to heavy rainfall is expected throughout much of Southwest Colorado Tuesday through Thursday.
A flood watch is in effect for Archuleta County Wednesday through early Friday.
Rainfall totals of 2-4 inches are possible in the southern San Juan mountains, according to the NWS, and surrounding valleys could receive 1-2 inches. 2.
Flooding is possible. The NWS notes heavy rainfall may result in flooding of small creeks and streams, debris flows and rockslides.
Showers and storms are expected Tuesday afternoon and evening. After a brief lull, another round will move in Wednesday through late Thursday, the agency notes.
