Returning for the fifth year to Pagosa Springs, the annual Festival of the Arts will be once again held in Tennyson Sculpture Garden (475 Lewis St.) Friday, June 5, from 5 to 8 p.m.; Saturday, June 6, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This free event is open to the public and is family friendly.
This year for the first time we are opening the festival on Friday evening, where you can come and browse the artist booths and enjoy food, drinks and live music.
Throughout the weekend we will have more than 30 juried artists showcasing a variety of painting styles as well as wall art, ceramics, jewelry, wood carpentry, fused glass, functional pottery, leather goods, handbags, photography, hats, gourds and more.
Enjoy lounging in the Tennyson Sculpture Park and listen to a lively lineup of live music on stage in the park throughout the event.
The Pagosa Springs Arts Council (PSAC) is once again proud to sponsor this event. This year we have monetary first, second and third prizes for artist booths as voted by the public. We also have festival T-shirts and tote bags for a donation that you can collect at Two Old Crows or at the festival at the PSAC booth.
For more information or to grab a T-shirt/tote, visit psartscouncil.com/support.
During the festival and in support of art in Pagosa, the Liberty Theatre will once again host Guitars in the Round at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 6. Bo DePena, Sunny Gable, Colt Wayne Keeney and Brendan Forrest will be on stage of this fun event. Go to Pagosamovies.com for more information.
