The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is currently investigating an aborted takeoff out of Stevens Field airport that occurred on Dec. 27, 2024.
“The crew of Cessna 560 business jet aborted their takeoff and ran off the runway at Stevens-Pagosa Springs Airfield in Colorado around 1:15 p.m. local time,” FAA Public Affairs Specialist Rick Brietenfeldt states in an email to The SUN.
Brientenfeldt also notes that there were 10 people on board at the time of the incident.
According to flight trackers, the Cessna 560 business jet landed at Stevens Field airport earlier that day on Dec. 27, 2024, at approximately 12:07 p.m local time, coming from Fort Worth, Texas.
Following the incident, flight logs also show the plane landed in Tulsa, Okla., after departing Stevens Field later the same day.
“The FAA is investigating,” Brietenfeldt states.
