The Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado announces the 10 nonprofits selected to receive grants as part of this year’s Durango Wine Experience.

The popular shoulder season event will be held April 24-25 in Durango.

The 2026 nonprofit grantees are A Safe Place in Pagosa (Archuleta County); Mancos Valley Resources (Montezuma County); Boys and Girls Club of La Plata County, Durango Bluegrass Meltdown, Durango Farmers Market, Durango PlayFest, Durango Winter Sports Club, Riverhouse Children’s Center, Southwest Colorado Education Collaborative, and Volunteers of America (La Plata County).

Both weekend passes and single event tickets are available now at www.durangowine.com/tickets/. Proceeds from ticket sales and corporate sponsorships will provide the Community Foundation with funding to bolster its mission-driven work, which supports the nonprofit sector in Southwest Colorado.

Nonprofits across multiple sectors and geographic areas have been selected to receive a $2,500 grant, along with the opportunity to share their missions with Durango Wine Experience attendees. Patrons of the Durango Wine Experience can connect with the nonprofits at various businesses throughout downtown Durango during the Walkabout on April 24. The nonprofit volunteers will also help at the Grand Tasting in Buckley Park on April 25.

“This will be our fourth year offering a granting component with the Durango Wine Experience,” said Briggen Wrinkle, executive director of the Community Foundation. “It is a great way to educate the public on the incredible work being done in our nonprofit sector, while also raising funds to support multiple organizations from across the region.”
