Archuleta County states it is experiencing severe flooding on County Road 500 right now and the road is closed.
"Please stay home if you can and avoid the area completely," an update from the county states, adding, "The road is not safe to drive on — water is high and could rise quickly."
Emergency crews are working to get it re-opened and are monitoring the situation, but for your safety, the county reminds:
• Don’t drive through floodwaters.
• Stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.
