The Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners decided to sell off just over 88 acres of land near U.S. 84 in a special meeting last week.
The acreage, part of the county’s 95-acre parcel that was originally slated to be a park, will be sold to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) for $737,677.22.
The decision was made with a 2-0 vote (commissioner Michael Whiting was out of town and unable to attend the meeting) following an executive session during a March 19 special meeting.
