The Community United Methodist Church (CUMC) will host United Women in Faith Sunday on June 14 with worship services at 8:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. at 434 Lewis St.
United Women in Faith is a community of women whose purpose is to serve, grow in faith and remain committed to justice in our community and beyond. On June 14, the women of CUMC will lead both worship services as a witness to that ongoing commitment.
Featured at both services, and at the 9:30 a.m. Sunday School hour in the fellowship hall, will be a presentation by Carmen Lewis, executive director of Rise Above Violence.
Lewis will share about the organization’s work addressing and preventing violence in Archuleta County and invite the community to learn more about how it can get involved and offer support.
Both the 8:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. services are open to the public. All are welcome.
CUMC is located at 434 Lewis St. For more information, call (970) 264-5508. Office hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.
