The free Community Conversations series will continue May 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Pagosa Lakes Property Owners Association (PLPOA) Clubhouse, 230 Port Ave.
Archuleta School District Superintendent Rick Holt will update residents about plans for funding a new building to house pre-kindergarten through eighth-grade classes.
By May 21, the school district expects to know the outcome of its BEST (Building Excellent Schools Today) grant application.
Holt will discuss the community’s role in the funding package needed to replace the school district’s aging infrastructure.
The schedule for the rest of the four-part series is as follows:
• June 1, 5:30 p.m.: Focus on Pagosa Springs Medical Center finances, PLPOA Clubhouse.
• June 10, 5:30 p.m.: Focus on county lodging tax, Pagosa Springs High School auditorium.
The series is presented by the Archuleta County schools, Pagosa Springs Medical Center, the Pagosa Springs Community Development Corporation, the Archuleta County League of Women Voters, the Archuleta County Republican Party and the Archuleta County Democratic Party.
