Colorado State Patrol asking public for assistance with serious injury hit-and-run crash

The Colorado State Patrol is asking the public for assistance with a serious injury hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian on Wednesday, March 4, in Archuleta County, near Pagosa Springs.

On Wednesday, March 4, at approximately 8:30 p.m., a 46-year-old female was walking southbound on the southbound shoulder of Vista Boulevard just north of U.S. 160. An unknown vehicle was traveling southbound on Vista Boulevard when it struck the female pedestrian. The pedestrian propelled upward and ended up in a drainage ditch off the roadway. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

The ongoing investigation has newly acquired surveillance video footage identifying a vehicle of interest. The vehicle is believed to be a newer model, a white Dodge Challenger with front-end damage.
