Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announces new bishop for local ward

Monte “Kip” Strohecker of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has recently been called to serve as the bishop of the Pagosa Springs Ward. 

Jason Judd and Travis Sewell will serve as his counselors.

Strohecker will replace Dr. Jason Wallace, whose family will be relocating to Anchorage, Alaska. 

Bishops in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints typically serve for five years. 

Leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serve without remuneration.
