The 2025 Archuleta County Fair is underway, and you won’t want to miss this incredible event.
This year, we have an exciting schedule packed with activities for everyone to enjoy.
Come support our dedicated 4-H members as they proudly showcase the animals they’ve been working with all year. Marvel at Wildman Phil and his exotic animals, experience the thrill of Shred BMX and be captivated by That Hypnotist Edward Wunder.
Join us for medieval armor demonstrations, thrilling rodeos, a variety of live performances, vendors, delicious food trucks and live music.

Music, magic and memories
Dust off your boots and grab your cowboy hats — this year’s entertainment lineup promises fun for all ages, featuring a mix of music, magic, rodeo thrills and family-friendly activities.
Held at the Archuleta County Fairgrounds, the fair blends rich Western heritage with high-energy performances and down-home charm. Whether you’re in it for the animals, rodeo action, live music or just delicious food, there’s something for everyone this year.
Live entertainment highlights
Thursday, July 31
• Come down to the Hughes Pavilion and cheer on our 4-H kids as they showcase all their hard work and beautiful animals!.
• Are you competitive? Test your skills in various competitions. This year, we will be holding a women’s nail-driving contest, a men’s stake-driving contest, kids’ and adult blow-up barrel races, and three–legged races.
• The Cornhole Tournament will begin at 6 p.m. under the Activity Tent. All proceeds go to the high school volleyball club. Be on the lookout for the signup and get your tossing arms ready.
• New this year, Open Mic Night with Eric Wade and Trey Brooks, from 13th Hour, will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. Warm up those vocal cords, tune those guitars and serenade the crowd with your amazing talents.
Friday, Aug. 1
• Head down to the fairgrounds and check out some fantastic shows by Shred BMX, and Wildman Phil and his exotic animals.
• The historical Gomez store will be open to the public from 1 to 5 p.m.
• Check out all the 4-H animal showings throughout the day in the Hughes Pavilion.
• Put on your cowboy boots and hat and make your way to the rodeo arena at 6:30 p.m. for the Pink Pony Race and the Tough Enough to Wear Pink Rough Stock Rodeo.
• End the night in your dancing shoes under the big Activity Tent dancing to the one and only Bo De Pena Band.
Saturday, Aug. 2
• Continue the Fair fun by checking out our new show from That Hypnotist Edward Wunder, as well as more shows from Shred BMX and Wildman Phil.
• Check out and try your hand at horseshoe pitching at the newly renovated horseshoe pitch.
• Don’t miss out on the delicious 4-H Chuckwagon Dinner with live music by the San Juan Mountain Boys.
• In the Hughes Pavilion, check out the 4-H Livestock Auction and bid on some animals before heading over to the Activity tent to dance the night away to Brett Hendrix.
Sunday, Aug. 3
• Sign your kids up for the kids’ rodeo, which begins at 10 a.m.
• Participate in some fun fair contests throughout the day.
• Check out some of our local medieval armor fighters.
Fun for the whole family
There will be fun for the whole family throughout the fair:
• Pie-eating contests.
• Quilt and craft exhibits.
• Shows and demonstrations.
• Kids’ games.
• Bounce houses.
We are so excited to promote and celebrate not only our 4-H children, but the many talented locals in Archuleta County.
