The Archuleta League of Women Voters will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 27, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Community United Methodist Church, 434 Lewis St.
After a short business meeting, the program, “What Archuleta Schools Teach About Democracy,” will provide information as to how students are prepared for their future civic responsibilities.
The Archuleta League is a grassroots nonpartisan organization that provides information to the public about election issues and supports the rights of citizens to engage in the critical roles of voter education, and fair, inclusive and equitable elections.
Meetings are open to all of the general public.
Started over a hundred years ago when women first received the right to vote, men are now welcomed and participate in the League of Women Voters organization. We hope you can join us.
