The Archuleta League of Women Voters (LWV) invites the public and LWV membership to a program meeting next Tuesday, Jan. 27, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
The program, “What Archuleta Schools Teach About Democracy,” will focus on the civics and social studies curriculum that prepares students to be knowledgeable voters.
The meeting will be held at the Community United Methodist Church, 434 Lewis St.
The Colorado League works to support the “key indicators” of healthy democracies: “voter participation, campaign finance reform, diversity of representation, civic knowledge, participation, and education.”
We look forward to sharing this information with you.
