Registered Democrats from Archuleta County can help choose this year’s candidates for state and national races by joining the county’s caucus and assembly, a virtual meeting on Saturday, March 7, at 9 a.m.
Advance registration to the Zoom event is required.
During the meeting, participants will vote in preference polls for candidates in contested races to appear on the June 30 Democratic primary ballot, including U.S. Senate, governor, attorney general, secretary of state and treasurer.
They will also select three delegates to the state assembly, to be held at Pueblo Memorial Hall on March 28.
Shad Murib, the Colorado Democratic Party chair, said the process “puts you in the driver seat of making sure our diverse and strong party nominates excellent candidates for races across the ballot.”
Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m. For more information and to register, go to archuletadems.org.
