‘A Night in Hollywood’: Second Chance Prom to benefit Pagosa Community Initiative

Posted

Pagosa Springs residents are invited to either relive prom magic or experience it for the first time at the Pagosa Community Initiative’s (PCI) fourth annual Second Chance Prom on May 16 at 7 p.m. at the Ross Aragon Community Center (451 Hot Springs Blvd.).

This premier fundraiser transforms the venue into a dazzling Hollywood scene, open to all community members 21 and older, blending dance-floor fun with support for Archuleta County’s vital family resource center.

PCI provides essential services like free after-school programming, mental health support, free and fee-based summer camp programs, parent education, and emergency funds to bolster local families.

“Prom is more than a night of celebration,” noted PCI board chair Carrie Blue-White. “Our $45,000 goal funds these critical resources for youth and families.”

Highlight the evening by voting for a prom queen and king from five charming local couples: Kevin and Sunshine Blue, Kim and Allen Domingo, Kevin and Julia Wood, Carli and Adam Luhrs, and Kari and Scott Burkett.

Votes, tickets and silent auction registration are at www.givebutter.com/PCIProm2026 — no attendance is required to vote or bid on exciting and locally provided items.

The silent auction will be live and open for bidding Monday, May 11.
