2025 Pagosa Springs High School graduate competing in Entrepreneur of Impact Competition

Posted

Olivia (Oli) Nehring is a 2025 graduate of Pagosa Springs High School who is currently a full-time student-athlete at Austin College in Sherman, Texas.

For the last 21 months, she has been working on creating her first toy line, a line of anthropomorphic frog dolls. She started working on them through an independent study course at the high school. It is one of Nehring’s biggest dreams to make and sell toys professionally, and it’s a dream that she hopes to be able to share with others soon.

For the last few months, she’s had the opportunity to compete in the Entrepreneur of Impact Competition to try and win funding so that she can move into the production stage with her frog dolls.

The winner of the competition gets $25,000, a one-on-one mentorship with Daymond John from "Shark Tank," and a two-page spread in Entrepreneur Magazine about their business.

Nehring was recently advanced to the quarter-final round of the competition, putting her in the top 1 percent of all competitors. She has until May 14 to make it to first in her group in order to stay in the competition and advance to the semifinal round.

The competition works in a tournament style, with the round winners being determined by daily public voting. Voters get one free vote per day.

If you are interested in supporting Nehring and helping get the frogs funded, the competition vote links, QR codes and more pictures of the frogs are up on her social media pages:
