19th Hole Concerts opening night slated for June 4

The Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado invites the community to kick off summer at the first concert of the 19th Hole Concert series, happening Thursday, June 4, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Pagosa Springs Golf Club.

This opening night will feature beloved local musician Bob Hemenger, bringing his signature mix of Dixieland, jazz, soul, pop and blues to the outdoor stage.

The evening will also highlight Wings Early Childhood Center, with proceeds from the $10 suggested donation supporting all four nonprofits participating in this year’s concert series.

The 19th Hole Concert Series is a June tradition, offering four consecutive Thursday evenings of live music, community connection and local impact. Thanks to corporate sponsors, 100 percent of donations go directly to the featured nonprofits, with funds pooled and distributed equally at the end of the series.

Looking ahead to June 11

As the community gathers for opening night, organizers are also encouraging everyone to save the date for the second concert on Thursday, June 11.

That evening will feature the ever-popular Jackson Mountain Ramblers, a fan favorite known for their eclectic mix of original songs and feel-good hits spanning the 1960s through the 2000s.

The June 11 concert will spotlight the Upper San Juan Watershed Enhancement Partnership (WEP), a local nonprofit working to protect and enhance the health of the Upper San Juan River Basin.

The WEP is the only nonprofit organization in Archuleta County dedicated to collaborative on-the-ground watershed restoration in the Upper San Juan River Basin. After years of increasingly severe drought conditions, destructive wildfires and historic flooding along the San Juan River underscored our rivers’ and streams’ vulnerability and the need for long-term watershed resilience and infrastructure protection.

Funding will support project planning, partnership coordination and community engagement to advance projects to implementation.

The WEP will be hosting a film premier event of a short film documenting the success and challenges of the recently completed Pagosa Gateway River Project on Aug. 19 at the Liberty Theatre.

A summer tradition worth showing up for

Whether you’re attending one concert or all four, the 19th Hole Concert Series is a chance to enjoy great music, support meaningful work and connect with the community in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Bring a chair, bring a friend and join us starting June 4, and then come back the following week to keep the momentum going.
