Register for the 2024 Archuleta Food Summit today.

The food summit will take place on Saturday, May 11, at Pagosa Springs High School.

Want to know more about:

• What is grown/produced locally?

• Who is growing/producing and how they do it?

• What you can do with the food you produce?

• Where you can get local food?

• How to support local community food efforts?

• What the different composting options are?

• What garden and growing education programs are offered?

• How to get your garden started?

On May 11, residents will have the opportunity to network with our community’s local produce and livestock farmers and ranchers. Plus, there will be drawings for produce and pasture-raised meat giveaways for our attendees.

From 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., we’ll have an informative opening session on the landscape of local food production and breakout sessions that will include interactive discussions where you can ask the experts on:

• Starting high-altitude gardens.

• Sources of local foods.

• Preventing food waste.

• Water, land and energy resources.

• Preparing and eating with local foods.

And, there is more. Attendees get to join us for a networking lunch while enjoying our local foods raised and produced right here. It doesn’t end there — for those who have a little extra time, there will be a tour of the grow dome and compost production at the high school. It’s time to build community through local foods.
