John Sherwood, 1927-2013, passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s. At least now he is at peace and no longer in pain. He was a great personality and loved by many of those who met him along life’s path over the years. He was a man of many occupations — a coal miner, a train engineer, an electrician, a handyman, an inventor, an artist, a gold miner and many more. He always had a story to tell about his adventures in life. He had many nicknames: Sonny, Jack, Papa and Papa Smurf. He loved his family and friends and he loved Colorado.
He leaves behind his sons Greg and Kit, and daughter Tami; grandchildren Gant, Shelly, Michelle, Doug, Paula, Brian and Nicole; great-grandchildren Luke, Lyon, Marin, Lane and Payson; brother in-law John and Verna.
He will be missed greatly by all his family and friends.
