Pagosa Youth Archery Program will begin a series of classes Monday, April 1, at the Ross Aragon Community Center, and the group will meet every Monday and Tuesday.
Classes will be held indoors weekly until the weather warms up with class held outdoors across from the center on Reservoir Hill.
The program continues to be open to the public for kids age 7-17. The program operates on a donation-only basis, with no child turned away due to an inability to pay. Payments are made directly to the Ross Aragon Community Center and are suggested at $20 per month per child. However, all donations, big and small, are greatly appreciated and are used to cover the cost of supplies.
The program is fortunate to be able to work with the community center and its staff on this and many other upcoming projects, with the opportunity to use a large space indoors and a chance to get outside, especially in the summer for 3D shooting.
A meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, for current members — parents and kids — as well as anyone interested in joining the program. All kids are welcome, no matter what their skill level, and equipment is provided to those who do not have their own.
