The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) also announced that U.S. 160 over Wolf Creek Pass will close beginning at 5:30 a.m. tomorrow, Monday, Jan. 8, while a CDOT crew conducts winter maintenance operations at snow slide areas. This is expected to be a lengthy closure of at least two hours.

Eastbound traffic will be stopped at Treasure Falls (milepost 157). Westbound traffic will be stopped near the pass summit and ski area (milepost 167).

The crew will work swiftly and safely to open the highway as soon as they are able. Be aware that closures on other highways and passes may occur at any time due to weather events and snow removal operations. Travelers are encouraged to frequently check COtrip.org for updates.
