As many of you may be aware, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is planning a main street (Pagosa Street and San Juan Street) reconstruction project through Pagosa Springs between 1st and 10th streets, with construction expected to begin in 2024.

As part of the CDOT project, the town is including improvements along the downtown U.S. 160 corridor, which includes the historic 400 block of Pagosa Street. The town is seeking your input on proposed improvements along this block that may include widening the sidewalk, new street lights with hanging flower baskets, new street trees, benches, gathering areas, crosswalk improvements and more.

Join us on Wednesday, Aug. 16, between 4 and 6 p.m. on the deck in the downtown overlook parking lot (next to Tequilla’s restaurant) to review some of the opportunities for improvements along this section of main street.

Please contact the town’s Community Development Department at (970) 264-4151, ext. 225 with any questions.
