This May, our community came together for a powerful and inspiring event — our Mental Health Awareness Walk.
We want to extend our heartfelt thank you to everyone who showed up, walked beside us, shared their stories, and supported the cause with such compassion and strength.
Your presence made it clear: We are not alone. Mental health affects us all — our families, our friends, our neighbors. And when we walk together, we carry each other forward.
A group of high school students sponsored and organized this event. Their leadership, passion and dedication to breaking the stigma around mental health are truly inspiring. They reminded all of us that advocacy knows no age — and that our youth are not only the future, but powerful voices of the present.
This event was more than just a walk. It was a statement — a collective step toward awareness, understanding and healing. It was a space where we came together to support one another and to say, loudly and clearly that mental health matters.
We especially want to recognize and uplift those who are navigating mental health challenges every day. To our youth who may be struggling silently, please know that you are seen, you are heard and your feelings matter. To our first responders who bear the weight of unimaginable stress while protecting and caring for others — you are not forgotten. Your mental health matters, too.
Our commitment does not end with this walk. We are dedicated to continuing the conversation, offering support, and creating spaces where everyone feels safe, valued and understood. Together, we will keep pushing forward to build a healthier, more compassionate world, one step at a time.
Thank you for showing up. Thank you for standing together. And thank you for reminding us that, in this community, no one walks alone. P.S. It’s OK.
