Patricia Gail Miller

Patricia Gail Miller, known as Patty Lynn to a majority of people she came across, was born Jan. 31, 1960, in Pagosa Springs and adopted to parents Billy and Helen Lynn. She passed away in her sleep after her battle with Alzheimer’s disease and liver cirrhosis on Sept. 1, 2024, just before 1 p.m. She was a beautiful, kind and funny soul who made friends with everyone she ran into, a true face and representation of the people of Pagosa Springs. She was reminiscent of the days when she was an avid horse rider doing barrel races for the county fair, meeting John Wayne while he was filming “The Cowboys” and staying next door with friends, watching her dad coach the Pagosa Boxing Club, working as a busser in her parents’ diner The Dairy Cream, spending time with her graduating class of 1978, and working for Dr. Baker as a veterinary assistant, newspaper lady for the Denver Post and courier for Kangaroo Express. One of her greatest accomplishments that she was proud of was being a mother to Chris Miller, Nick Miller, Savannah Huizar and Raelynn Huizar, as well as a grandmother to Mya and Olivia Miller, Lillian Miller, and Freja Kuhl. Patty will be greatly missed by all her friends and family but remembered for the person she was, her warm hugs and the joy she brought to everyone.

Services will be held at Pagosa Bible Church on Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. We are asking that people wear tye-dye, animal and colorful shirts as she would have wanted people to be happy about the life she lived instead of being sad that she is not here. GoFundMe links and Zelle will be set up on Facebook. Please contact Savannah Huizar for more information.
