From the April 16, 1970, Pagosa SUN — HIGH WINDS — High winds around town the first part of the week caused considerable damage. The former Ben Lynch residence suffered heavy damage when a large tree was blown across the porch and onto the house. Windows were broken in the house and the roof was damaged. In other parts of town shingles were ripped from roofs, large branches were blown off trees and other wind damage was noted.
