Letter: Support for Dusty Mars

Posted

Dear Editor:

Dusty is running for the La Plata Electric Association Board. I have known him for several years and consider him to be a close friend. He and his wife Katrina have 6 kids. I know his younger kids and they reflect the character of their father and mother.

Dusty has a professional petroleum engineering degree and has worked considerably in that field and is very knowledgeable of all types of energy. He has been a teacher. Now he is running a large hay farm in the Arboles area. That hay operation requires large amounts of electricity, because of that he has a personal financial interest in keeping costs down and he is motivated to see reasonable energy costs in the future for those kids that he is raising.

He understands the situation that the LPEA board has placed the Coop in. It is very to difficult to understand the whole situation, because of the lack of transparency of the current board. He will do all that he can to increase that transparency to the rest of the Coop’s members (us). He will do all he can to keep costs down.

My hope is that every eligible voter will research the candidates and vote!
