Dear Editor:
Once again, I agree with my fellow writer of liberal persuasion, in that this paper is not biased in publishing letters “no matter how poorly written or dumb”.
In answer to why there have been no letters defending “what’s going on in Crazy Town USA”, perhaps sane and coherent folks feel no need. The left’s own leaderless lack of messaging is doing quite well in that respect. The conservative’s unspoken battle plan to refute the left is simply “Let them speak”. Incoherent statements like “billionaires who want to increase efficiency by instantaneously eliminating programs supporting ordinary Americans, impoverished nations and the environment” are simply untrue. Elon Musk, assuming that is whom is being referenced, has no such power. Pointing out waste, fraud, and abuse in government should be the job of our elected officials, but was just the opposite under Democrat rule. What other nation taxes its population into unsustainable debt just to give away under a hoax like USAID. The huge, unauthorized outflows of funds from our treasury at the end of the Biden administration were probably not signed for by Joe, but by an aid with an autopen, they are that audacious. Follow the money and see where it actually ends up.
Alleging “voter suppression” because of the SAVE ACT is a joke. Our right to vote is one our most sacred, and allowing ballots to be cast by dead people or illegal citizens is ridiculous. Who legally qualified to vote does not possess some sort of identification? How can eliminating tax on social security be considered a tax cut for the wealthy?
Signalgate? Who can forget Hillary defying court orders by destroying thousands of emails, texts, notes, and other correspondence along with cell phones and computers. Oh yeah, then there is Russia gate? And these most likely pale in comparison to what we don’t know.
Tariffgate? The world is beating a path to Trump’s door eager to make a fair-trade/tariff deal following decades of politicians allowing us to be cheated. In years past Democrat icons Clinton, Obama and Pelosi all bemoaned the trade imbalance and championed the very tariffs that Trump is now implementing (look it up). Watch what they do not what they say. President Trump keeps his word and it drives the left crazy. Again, follow the money.
The left has chosen to fight and die on hills that continue to lose approval among their constituents. Dismissing victims while aggrandizing criminals. Supporting men in women’s sports. Supporting enemies that hate us and our greatest world ally, Israel. The approval rates on these stances, and leadership, are all well below 50% and dropping.
It is no wonder the conversion to conservatism rate is currently so dramatic. Hollywood actors and producers, podcasters, musicians, even mainstream media are realizing that MAGA logic and common-sense “Trump” blind allegiance.
So, by all means liberals - SPEAK!
And BTW, fascism can be defined as being forced to take a vaccine against one’s will.
