Dear Editor:
No Donald, your tariff wars aren’t going to work. Our economy is teetering on the brink of recession. The United States can’t just declare bankruptcy and stiff its creditors. Try to work on a real economic plan.
No Donald, the rest of the world isn’t intimidated. World leaders are rolling their eyes. Europe is turning away and forming new alliances. Greenland isn’t interested in being annexed. Canada isn’t a state-in-waiting. Putin is not your friend. Try to get in touch with reality.
No Donald, you’re not building a great future. Farmers are hurting. Americans are paying more. Analysts think the Trump economy is insane and hopelessly outdated. Try to get a grip on your responsibilities.
No, Donald, turns out you can’t pretend that women and minorities have made no significant accomplishments by removing web pages. Miriam Webster has a fine definition of Democracy. Please read it.
No Donald, telling Americans to take their medicine while you golf, and, oh yes, golf, won’t win any arguments. Stop firing people and stop trying to kick the poor off food subsidies. Leave Medicaid alone.
And, Donald, picking on most vulnerable is bully behavior. Try to remember that “I really don’t give a d***” was Rhett Butler’s line.
Finally, Donald, April 2 nd wasn’t any sort of Liberation Day. The only things liberated were record returns on 401k accounts. Please consult with and listen to financial experts. These are serious times.
