Letter to Congressman Hurd -
Dear Mr. Hurd,
Has our United States federal government sold its soul?
I am extremely concerned and confounded by our government’s refusal to comply with the Supreme Court’s directive to “facilitate” the return of Kilmer Abrego Garcia to the US. Failure to comply certainly smacks of deceit and cover up. Surely, Garcia is not the only person caught in the administration’s broad sweep of immigrants who is innocent of violent crime. They all should have had their day in court.
I am asking that you please intervene and speak out against the horrors that the leaders of our government are perpetuating. We, the people, are desperate for civility and morality, and I pray that the United States can once again, become a beacon of hope and fairness.
