James “Jim” Curvey, former resident of Pagosa Springs, passed away at the age of 73. The youngest son of Robert and Helen Curvey, Jim was born on July 13, 1952. While much of his life was spent in Taylorville, Ill., Jim also lived in Terre Haute, Ind., and Pagosa Springs, Colo. Jim graduated from Pagosa Springs High School in 1969, and in his younger days, he enjoyed snowmobiling, motorcycling, bowling, archery and canoeing. He is preceded by his parents, Robert and Helen; wife Cindy; infant niece Angelina; aunts, uncles and cousins from the many branches of the family tree. Jim is survived by his older brother, Robert “Bob” (and Tessie); nephew Shawn (and Michelle); niece Robin; and great-nephews Zack and Cody, Aubrey and baby Baker; and cousins in Illinois and Wisconsin.
