The Archuleta County Board of County Commissioners held a special meeting Thursday morning, June 26, for the purpose of discussing options for temporary office space for the offices affected by a June 12 act of arson at 449 San Juan St.
Following an executive session, Commissioner John Ranson motioned to negotiate and enter into a lease with Wyndham for temporary county office spaces, which was approved by a split vote of 2-1, with Ranson and Medina in favor and Brown opposing.
Also included in Ranson’s motion was for Medina to be the negotiator for the matter.
The county is planning to occupy the Wyndham building located at 56 Talisman Drive, county manager Jack Harper confirmed in an email to The SUN.
