Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles experiencing statewide outage

DMV reaching out to affected customers to reschedule appointments


The Colorado Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is contacting Coloradans who have an appointment at a state driver's license office today to reschedule their appointment or offer alternative services due to a technical issue affecting all state driver license offices.

All in-office DMV services at state offices are affected except written tests. 

Driver's license offices can perform written tests. If customers who take the written test return within 180 days, they can complete the driver's license issuance process without retaking the test.

The DMV is also experiencing technical difficulties with the state’s credit card processing system. This outage has impacted customers' ability to make payments using credit cards at some county motor vehicle offices.
