Main Street board approves funds for promotional materials

With the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) delaying the reconstruction project of U.S. 160 through downtown Pagosa Springs until the spring of 2025, the Pagosa Springs Main Street Advisory Board has been left with excess funds in its budget for 2024.

New mural project approved by town planning commission

On Sept. 24, the Pagosa Springs Planning Commission determined that a proposed mural project, planned for 511 San Juan St., which is home to the Bootlegger liquor store, qualifies as public art, rather than as a commercial advertising sign.

No crime committed when elections counting room entered

A Pagosa Springs Police Department investigation determined no crime was committed and there was no nefarious intent when a maintenance person at 449 San Juan St. accessed the counting room of the Archuleta County Election’s Office on Sept. 20.

Pirates pick up second consecutive win
