I'm fascinated to see so many Oldhams who wound up in the South..and
relatively few in Michigan, where my great-grandfather, Lacey Washington
Oldham, was born. His father was John Thomas Oldham and his mother was
Anna Pickering. I'd like to know more about both of them, if possible.
Could this branch of Oldhams have been an off-shoot of one of the other
families, such as the Tennessee or Kentucky Oldhams? Any info would be
appreciated. Please email me at nelsonmuntzhaha@aol.com.

I have the Oldham line on both sides of my family and it gets very
confusing. Any information will be appreciated.

Bishop William Fitzjames Oldham oldham1@cyberway.com.sg
My name is David Campbell and I am researching the family of Bishop
William Fitzjames Oldham. Born 17th Dec 1854, Bangalore, South India.
Died 27 Mar 1937, at Glendale, California, USA I can
find nothing
regarding his parents other than the following. His father, James
was an
officer serving in either the Indian Army (maybe a Sepoy Regiment)or
with the East India Company. His mother, Mary
Elizabeth (nee
Burling). Both were Roman Catholics. It is believed that his father
came
Ireland, but where from it is not known. His mother died not
long after
he was born. Father may have remarried?.
Bishop Oldham met and
married Marie Augusta Mulligan in Poona, India on 13 Sept 1875.
I hope
someone out there can help me. Thank You.
