Visitor Center director resigns

Well, that didn’t last long.

JaNae Christians, who just started working for the Town Tourism Committee in February as the new Visitor Center director, quit late last week.

“There were aspects of the job she was not happy with,” TTC director Jennie Green told SUN staff on Tuesday. “There were conflicts … an issue with a Chamber staff person, and she was done, so I … jumped in and helped out the Chamber when I realized there was a problem, and we’re fine … It will all work out. I think everything happens for a reason.”

One Response to Visitor Center director resigns

The problem was not with a Chamber staff person, the problem was poor on the job training, preparation for this enormous transition, and lack of honest communication. I am the staff person mentioned in this article and I refuse to be thrown under the TTC bus any longer.
