UU topic: Gifts of the present moment

By Anna O’Reily
Special to The PREVIEW

On April 6, Anna O’Reily will share tips for recognizing and appreciating gifts of the present moment. Awareness of presence, the sense of safety, the frequencies of light and sound are among the gifts to explore. There will be time to share your own experiences.

Anna discovered her gift of knowing where a person’s energy is blocked 40 years ago in massage classes. She has been fine tuning it with the help of many teachers, including each one of her clients. Her travels in the Americas and Europe were an incentive for recognizing the beauty and opportunities of each moment.

Anna has practiced energy massage for 33 years, 20 of them here in beautiful Pagosa Springs, drawn by the healing waters. She is an artist and photographer, loves gardening and tai chi by the river. She used to teach tai chi with Pam Kircher. She enjoys showing people ways to care for themselves and to appreciate their gifts.

The Pagosa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship sponsors a children’s spiritual educational program and encourages families with children to please join us for our Sunday service. Our children’s religious programs teach our Unitarian Universalist heritage, ethical living, moral precepts to love your neighbor, work for a better world and to search for truth with an open mind. Arts and crafts projects also are utilized to illustrate these principles.

The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall. The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign. All are welcome.
