UU service considers theme of justice

On Sunday, Feb. 3, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship service topic will be “On the Theme of Justice,” presented by Pauline Benetti.

Benetti points out that, “This day falls between the birthdays of Martin Luther King and Abraham Lincoln. We know the mighty struggles of those two giants.  How does the struggle for justice translate into the language of our own lives?” With help from several other members of the Fellowship, Benetti will help us understand.   In the words of the Talmud,  “Do not be daunted by the enormity of the world’s grief.  Love mercy now.  Do justly now.  Walk humbly now.  You are not obligated to complete the work, but neither are you free to abandon it.”

Courage is the theme for the children’s services for the month of February. All children are welcome to join our fun.

The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall.  The address is Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza.  Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign.  All are welcome.
