The U.S. Freestyle Mogul Team, led by Olympic champion Hannah Kearney and Olympic bronze medalist Bryon Wilson, will practice at Wolf Creek Ski Area through Nov. 26.
They’ll take the day off from the slopes on Saturday, Nov. 23, when the official national team will be publicly announced at The Springs Resort.
The 2014 U.S. Freestyle Moguls Team, led by Kearney (Norwich, Vt.) and Wilson (Butte, Mont.) was named in advance of the Dec. 13 FIS Freestyle season opener in Ruka, Finland. The team, which will be publicly announced Saturday at The Springs Resort, also features Heather McPhie (Bozeman, Mont.) who captured three World Cup wins last season, 2009 World Champion Pat Deneen (Cle Elum, Wash.) and Bradley Wilson (Butte, Mont.), a World Cup winner and Junior Olympic gold medalist. The World Cup tour moves to the U.S. Jan. 9-11 for the Visa Freestyle International in Deer Valley, Utah, followed by the USANA Freestyle World Cup Jan. 15-18 in Lake Placid, N.Y.
The event at The Springs Resort is set for 5 p.m. Saturday, with team members available for autographs.
The public is encouraged to come to Wolf Creek and watch the athletes.
