A concert will take place on Dec. 29, with proceeds going to benefit a Pagosa resident, Keagan Smith, who is currently recovering from severe injuries suffered in a vehicle accident.

Smith was driving on U.S. 84 south of Pagosa springs on Oct. 30 when his vehicle slid on ice and left the roadway, rolling on Smith.

Smith was transported to Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango then taken by air ambulance to St. Anthony’s hospital in Denver, suffering from life-threatening injuries.

Smith is now at Craig Hospital in Denver, one of the top 10 hospitals in the nation specializing in spinal trauma.  He is getting stronger every day, taking classes in stretching, physical therapy and weight lifting. One of the needs for Keagan is to adapt a vehicle with a lift.

The “Tribute to Patsy Cline” show will be performed Sunday, Dec. 29, at the Pagosa lakes Clubhouse, 230 Port Ave.  Dinner will be served at 1 p.m., featuring brisket, potatoes, slaw, cowboy beans and cornbread.  The show is at 3 p.m., with dessert and coffee served. Tickets are available at LouJean’s Salon, 301 N. Pagosa Blvd. Suite B-14.  Cost for dinner and the show is $35 — show only  is $20. Student tickets for the dinner and show are $10; the show is free.
