Special to The PREVIEW

The jungle comes to the Pagosa Springs Church of Christ with their annual free Vacation Bible School.  “Safari with the Savior” will be held at the church building at 277 Lewis Street July 21-25, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for children 3 years old through the eighth grade.

In class, the students take a safari with the apostle Paul and events from his life. Each child is actively involved as the Bible stories come alive with acting, puppet shows, games, quizzes, songs and crafts. Refreshments are served daily.

On Wednesday evening, the children put on a program demonstrating things they have learned in VBS. On Friday, VBS concludes with a hot dog picnic at South Pagosa Park on 8th Street. Parents, family and friends are invited to those activities and are encouraged to visit the daily classes at any time.

The youth group and adults from Woodward, Okla., will return to help with the five-day VBS. Working together with the Pagosa Springs church, a quality learning experience and fun time is always put on for the children.

Transportation is provided to pick up children and return them home after VBS. The time of the first stop will be 8:45 a.m. The JOY Bus will run in the downtown area. We can make arrangements to pick up students in other areas. For transportation, more information or to enroll your children, call the church office at 264-2552 or Dorman Diller, minister, at 264-4454.

We would be delighted for your children to attend the free VBS. Enrollment forms may be found in the newspaper. Make plans now for your children to attend this exciting time of learning and growing.
