Suspect ruled competent, action resumes in two cases

Mark Franklin Trail — who was convicted on five counts relating to a September 2012 standoff with law enforcement that lasted 26 hours — was ruled to be competent to stand trial in another case last week.

The ruling came from District Court Judge Greg Lyman on July 1, following a June 18 hearing on the matter.
