The Pagosa Springs Police Department will participate in the 2013 Super Bowl Weekend/High Visibility Impaired Driving Enforcement (HVIDE) campaign.
Officers will increase patrols for the enforcement period starting Feb. 1 and will continue through Feb. 4.
National traffic studies confirm that increased patrols provide a “risk of apprehension,” thereby reducing the number of impaired driving traffic crashes.
The Pagosa Springs Police Department wants to remind everyone that if they observe a driver they believe to be impaired to contact the Archuleta County Combined Dispatch Center at 731-2160 or dial 911.
