Sunday Night Unplugged, a music and meditation service at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, provides a time of peace and quiet, punctuated with sounds of beautiful music and spiritual readings.

This Sunday, July 9, at 5 p.m., Sunday Night Unplugged will feature the profound sounds of multi-instrumentalist Paul Roberts.

Pagosa cultural icon John Graves had this to say about Roberts: “One of the most rewarding associations of my retirement in Pagosa Springs has been the opportunity to work with Paul Roberts. I met him first as an outstanding musician, educator and creator of challenging artistic opportunities for people of all ages. Later, I learned of his impressive counseling background and work in the emerging field of music therapy.

“His unique synthesis of the musical arts and mental health therapy was developed over a period of years at McLean Hospital in Massachusetts where, in association with the renowned Morrie Schwartz, he established an impressive record of success with mentally disturbed patients through a unique program of counseling combined with the creation of performing musical groups.”

St. Patrick’s is located at 225 S. Pagosa Blvd. Sunday Night Unplugged is free of charge and open to the public. The church also offers its outdoor labyrinth, located behind the church parking lot, for public use at any time.
