Summer Sizzler Saturday at Yamaguchi Park

The Pagosa Peaks Volleyball Club, the Pagosa Peaks Wrestling Club and the Ross Aragon Community Center have all teamed up to bring the Summer Sizzler event to our community this Saturday, Aug. 9. Come down and enjoy a day of fun in the sun followed by a dance in the diamond at Yamaguchi Park.

The Ladder Ball Tournament is $30 per team, double elimination.

The Doubles Grass Volleyball Tournament is $30 per division including double elimination men’s, women’s and co-ed divisions.

The Co-ed Kickball Tournament is $150 per team of 10, single elimination. Registration has been extended to the morning of the tournaments. To get registered for this event, visit our website, racc.co, or call us for more information at 264-4152.

Summer Sizzler dance

If you don’t have time during the day for the tournaments, then don’t miss out on dancing in the diamond starting at 6 p.m. DJ Freddy Rivas will be putting his own twist on the summer sizzler.

Music, food, beer and fun can all be found at the summer sizzler dance.

Admission is $2 and is and open to any and all ages.

San Juan Mountain Boys

The San Juan Mountain Boys feature hits from The Eagles, John Denver, Alan Jackson, George Straight and many more, and the duo will be playing at the community center on Friday, Aug. 15. Tickets for this dance are on sale for $10. They will be $12 at the door. This is a 16-and-older event.

A cash bar and light hors d’oeuvres will be offered during the event. For more information, please call the center at 264-4152 or visit our website, racc.co.
