St. Patrick’s accepting clothing for annual giveaway

Special to The PREVIEW
Out with the gently used, in with the new. St Patrick’s Church is accepting your gently used clothing beginning Sept. 1 and continuing every Saturday in September at Airport Storage on Piedra Road.
We will be in our front and center storage unit every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon and would love to have men’s, women’s, children’s and infants’ clothes, especially if they are warm winter clothes.
The St. Patrick’s congregation has been holding a clothing giveaway for over 17 years. Our hope is that no one goes cold this winter and that they can find a warm winter coat, hat, scarf, sweater or new outfit to make their lives more comfortable. We all have too many clothes in the closet and half of them don’t get worn. Take a look and see what you can share with others.
The giveaway will be on Oct. 20 from 8 a.m. to noon in our parish hall, so there is still time to do some sorting through your clothes. If you have questions or find that the five Saturdays in September are not going to work for you, please call the church at 731-5801 and we will try and make other arrangements.
