Soak for Pagosa Springs Special Olympics on Jan. 30

Special to The SUN
The Pagosa Springs chapter of Special Olympics Colorado will be the first recipient of #SpringsGiving in 2018.
Come to The Springs Resort on Tuesday, Jan. 30, to support your local Special Olympians.
Once a month, the public bath house donates 100 percent of net admission sales to a 501(c)(3) charitable organization selected by staff and ownership.
In 2017, over $50,000 was donated to nonprofit organizations via #SpringsGiving efforts.
The event will benefit the local Special Olympics Colorado — Pagosa Springs team directly in purchasing new basketball uniforms, ski jackets and with travel expenses for the two-day Four Corners Softball Tournament in Farmington, N.M., where Pagosa Springs will represent the state of Colorado playing softball.
Pagosa Springs Special Olympics has approximately 25 athletes who participate in 10 out of 22 sports offered year-round.
Special Olympics is a global movement of people creating a world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. They are helping to make the world a better, healthier and more joyful place — one athlete, one volunteer, one family member at a time.
